Aspect-oriented programming was born in the second half of the 1990s. It was proposed by Gregor Kiczales and his research team at Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Center), an internationally recognized research center that has been the source of many major innovations in the digital field, such as Ethernet technology for networks, laser printing and graphical user interface concepts for computer programs.
