3.1 3D-s chain and 3D@Home environment (SMPTE)
The problem of distributing 3D-s images to the general public in the home is more complex than that of cinema. It cannot be reduced to display and visualization technologies. The economic viability of what is known as "3D@Home" will largely depend on the ability to adapt this technological advance within existing technologies and current distribution circuits, which are complex:
physical support (DVD, Blu-ray ) ;
dematerialized distribution (VOD) ;
linear broadcasting (DVB, IPTV).
