5.1 Organization of transmission/reception chains

The organization of radar transmit/receive chains (figure 25 ) is linked to the nature of the associated transmitter, which can be :

  • amplification chain, in which the signal to be transmitted is progressively raised to the appropriate power by amplification in one or more stages;

  • power oscillator, in which energy is obtained directly by oscillating the power element.
