5. Betacam SX format
The fourth format in Sony's Betacam family, Betacam SX clearly meets a specific need, according to its manufacturer: news. It is economical, ensures playback compatibility of Betacam and Betacam SP footage on all SX models, and can support several generations of signal, i.e. light post-production, without any significant degradation in quality.
