1.1.1 Estate and operating methods
The Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) system has been designed and specified to replace analog broadcasting in all its frequency bands, but can, for a short transition period, co-exist with it (figure 1 ). Two modes of system operation are standardized [ETSI ES 201 980]:
