1.1 IntServ model
In response to demands for improved QoS in the Internet, the IETF set up several working groups in 1994 to define an integrated services architecture. In such an architecture, it is possible to guarantee the loss rate and routing delay observed by an individual flow, while controlling the distribution of resources between flows .
