DCCP is a standard Internet protocol. It originated in discussions within the tsvwg group, but is now the subject of a separate working group, called dccp. This working group has produced the following RFCs (Request For Comments) on DCCP:
an information document describing the reasons behind the proposal for a new transport protocol ;
a normative description of the base protocol
