4. Conclusion

The Internet craze on the one hand, and equipment mobility on the other, has led to the definition of new protocols. These are all aimed at making IP applications for mobile devices more user-friendly. The imminent arrival of new-generation mobile terminals will undoubtedly enable "optimized" use of these applications. However, even if the basic protocols required for such use have been defined, there will undoubtedly be many improvements proposed before real deployment on next-generation IP networks.
