3. Cellular IP
Cellular IP is an initiative of the COMET research group at Columbia University in the USA . This protocol attempts to bring together two concepts. On the one hand, it aims to add mobility features to the Internet, and on the other, packet data services to third-generation cellular systems.
IP Mobile offers a solution for supporting mobility over IP; however, it is not completely suited to supporting frequent mobile movement and control.
