3.1 Definition
Let's assume the loop is hooked and subjected to an input phase ϕ e . If the variations in the phase ϕ e are too great, the loop no longer follows and stalls: we then lose synchronism between the signals y e and y s .
Often, we're interested in pulsation stall: with the loop hooked, we slowly vary the pulsation of the input signal and watch when we lose synchronism.
