In the field of synthetic semiconductors, materials combining elements from columns 3 and 5 of Mendeleev's table. These groups contain chemical elements such as gallium, indium and arsenic, which have unique properties, particularly when combined.

CMOS: Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor

Designates a manufacturing technology for electronic components. In these circuits, an output stage consists of a pair of symmetrically placed N and P transistors, each performing the same function. Due to their inverted operating characteristics, one transistor is conducting while the other is blocking, so they are complementary.
