2.1.1 Perfect magnetic conductor

One of the first applications of metasurfaces was to create perfect magnetic conductors, as opposed to perfect electrical conductors. In a perfect electrical conductor, the tangential electric field is zero and so is the surface impedance. In a perfect magnetic conductor, the tangential magnetic field is zero and the surface impedance is infinite.
