microgenerator :
This term refers to the electromechanical part of the energy recovery system, i.e. the mechanical part and the piezoelectric transducer.
harmonic regime :
Term designating an operating mode in which the mechanical vibration applied to the microgenerator is purely sinusoidal, or monochromatic.
resonance :
In the case of piezoelectric microgenerators, the resonance phenomenon increases the electrical power generated. At resonance, electrical power is proportional to the microgenerator's overall mechanical quality factor.
transducer :
Term for the piezoelectric element used to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy.
