4. Component immunity modeling
Integrated circuits (ICs) are one of the main causes of electromagnetic emissions conducted or radiated by equipment, and are the most sensitive elements when it comes to the immunity of the same components. Disturbances seen at IC level result from the propagation of disturbances originating outside the system, or generated by one of the system's other elements. Up to a few gigahertz, it can be assumed that coupling mechanisms remain dominant on PCB beams and tracks (relative to wavelengths), which prompts us to consider the conducted mode above all for component characterization and modeling. .
