14. Phase and amplitude noise
The inherent noise of the modules' solid-state active components determines the antenna's noise figure 10 at reception. On transmit, the additive noise generated by the amplifier is generally very low compared to the spectral purity of the signal supplied to the antenna.
In fact, causes external to the module can create sources of noise that are detrimental to the proper operation of the System. These are mainly parasitic lines...
