2. Protection classification

We adopt a classification and definitions that are widely accepted internationally.

We refer to the standardization work of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Study Committee 95, which is based on documents published by the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE) Study Committee B5.

Expressions commonly used in Anglo-Saxon literature are indicated in brackets.
