3. Fault current shutdown

3.1 Short-circuit currents

In the case of a short-circuit, the phase shift between current and voltage is always very large [0.07 < cos ϕ < 0.15], as networks are essentially inductive. When the current passes through zero, the network voltage is at or near its maximum.
