1. Fittings and other equipment

The term "switchgear" covers all the equipment used to connect, interrupt and distribute electrical energy, as well as to perform connection, control and protection functions.

1.1 Connection equipment

These are devices that are generally established once and for all, and cannot be modified without intervention on their components, usually using tools. They include :

  • busbars and taps (welded, bolted, secured with bar clamps) ;

  • various types of terminals (screw, screwless, cage, pad, rod, clamp, stud, strip, etc.) ;

  • lugs and fittings (welded, crimped, claw, flanged, etc.) ;

  • lugs, clips and tabs, for quick connections......
