 INTRODUCTION

In this booklet, we provide calculations for determining the voltage restored at the break of each pole in the case of a three-phase terminal fault, and the three-phase, two-phase and single-phase terminal fault currents. The form of the recovery transient voltage for a near-line fault is also determined, and the form of the recovery transient voltage for a terminal fault is explained.

Note :

The article "High-voltage alternating-current switchgear" is the subject of several fascicles:

Note :

Part 1: General. Classifications. Characterization.

Part 2: Basic problems. Switching currents on and off.

Part 3: Presentation of equipment. Type and individual tests.

Note :

[D 4 696] Appendices.

The subjects are not independent of each other. Readers will often need to refer to other issues.

The article deals with "Interruption of DC circuits".
