4. Substation frames
4.1 Frame types
In outdoor substations, main structures are those metal assemblies used to anchor or support tensioned connections on both the line and substation sides, and secondary structures are those used to support high-voltage equipment and insulating columns. They are determined taking into account the technical conditions imposed by the forces exerted, the conditions of appearance that respect the clarity of the installations and, finally, the economic conditions.
