3. Operation and safety

One of the most important tasks of a power system operator is to take the necessary measures to ensure the safety of people who, for various reasons, may find themselves near or in contact with the power system. This mission must take into account the other objective of operations, which is to guarantee continuity of service for customers.

We will distinguish between the following situations:

  • keep the public at a safe distance from electrical installations;

  • organization of non-electrical work in the vicinity of structures;

  • organization of electrical work near other electrical structures;
