3. EDF distribution network components
3.1 General
A distribution network is an assembly of different elements whose essential characteristics (insulation voltage and short-circuit resistance in particular) must be coordinated with each other and compatible with the basic option chosen for the neutral system.
The sizing of each element must be defined in such a way as to enable it to meet both immediate and future constraints, which presupposes optimization based on a long-term technical-economic calculation.
Finally, the main characteristics must be chosen from a reduced range of standardized values, so as to obtain series effects without restricting the possibilities too much.
