
6. Charging control
Charging control (or "smart charging") consists in controlling the moment of charging and modulating the power demand (figure 11 ). This function is essential to ensure that electric vehicle charging does not create excessive stress for the building's internal network, for its connection to the public grid, or even for public electricity distribution or transmission networks (which will be critical when millions of electric vehicles are on the road).
