5. Installation of metal frames
The design and installation of metal framing for cladding systems is very similar to that of wood framing.
5.1 Profile design
The framework enables a new vertical reference plane to be reconstituted to receive a new skin.
The load-bearing sections are fastened to the supporting structure by means of anchors with adjustable brackets of varying lengths (sliding angle brackets).
Where the verticality and flatness of the supporting surface allow, the load-bearing profiles can be attached directly to through fasteners. This is the case for simple cladding without thermal insulation.
