5. Security
Regulations (notably decree no. 2004-924 of 1 September 2004) concerning work at height naturally apply to the installation of roof tiles in the same way as to all other roofing materials.
5.1 Working at height
The 3 m height requirement no longer exists. Since regulations no longer define work at height, it is up to the company manager to assess the risk of falling from a height. When the risk exists – a high probability for roofing work – the company manager must take measures in line with the general principles of prevention:
avoid risks;
assess them when they cannot be avoided;
