1. General information on green roofs
The aim of the various vegetation systems is to establish permanent vegetation, of varying size and height, on roof terraces covered with a suitable, highly durable waterproofing complex that is, of course, resistant to root penetration and, if possible, also suitable for traffic.
1.1 Extensive planting
Extensive vegetation corresponds to :
light, thin laminates (4 to 5 cm);
very little to no maintenance after vegetation has become established.
Natural watering is generally sufficient. It can be supplemented by supplemental watering depending on climatic constraints and the period (completion, reinforcement, routine maintenance).
