2. Traditional systems complying with DTU 43.1 – Light vehicles (< 2 tonnes per axle)
Protection is provided by one of the following provisions.
2.1 Asphalt self-protection
This applies to the 15 + 25 asphalt surfacing, which provides both waterproofing and traffic protection.
This type of cladding is only permitted where it is laid directly on masonry supports, excluding type D load-bearing elements where these are not supplemented by an adhering reinforced concrete slab.
This system is suitable for load-bearing elements that cannot withstand compaction forces (figure 3 ).
