3. Biennial warranty
3.1 Definition
The biennial warranty is a minimum 2-year warranty for real estate construction. This warranty has evolved over time. It is also known as the "garantie de bon fonctionnement". It should be noted that :
the 2-year period is the minimum required by law, but the contract may provide for a guarantee of up to 10 years;
the period starts from acceptance of the work.
