1.1 Notion of performance
Product performance is the required level of ability, specified or actual, of a product to fulfill a role. The performance of a structure appears as a set of measurable and objectively identifiable characteristics that help determine its ability to fulfill various functions. These include, first and foremost, the physical quantities that express the behavior of a building or its components, with respect to the agents that influence them.
