1. D2 decoration: "Pliolite"-type paint
1.1 Cracking
If the hydraulic plaster shows crazing, i.e. micro-cracks smaller than 2/10ths of a millimetre in size, the "Pliolite" paint film can mask the crazing.
This "flexible film" is due to the formulation of this paint (registered trademark and patented by tire manufacturer Goodyear), whose adjuvant, "chlorinated kerosene", gives it a certain residual elasticity. This type of repair should only be recommended on "in-service" walls, i.e. "old" walls that have undergone a certain number of climatic cycles (winter/summer).
Pliolite can be applied to existing cracks as a curative measure.
This type of cladding is covered by a legal warranty of "good working order", previously known as the "biennial warranty"....
