Overview
ABSTRACT
Steel, aluminum alloys, wood and metal are materials used in the design of scaffolding structures. These elements must present optimal rigidity and durability in order to withstand the normal conditions of service. This article assists in the choice of the various materials available for such use. Scaffolding equipment and their materials are thus detailed. Scaffolding systems are then reviewed: tubes and fittings, prefabricated systems, horizontal floors and frames, protective and bracing elements, etc.
