3. Contract award and content
Unlike public contracting authorities, private contracting authorities are free to choose the procedure for awarding the work they intend to have carried out. They can deal with the lessor of their choice (in the case of a private contract) without having to call for competition. It can also use an adjudication, tender or competition procedure.
It is also free to decide on the number and list of companies it wishes to consult, as well as the conditions they must meet (professional qualifications, references, etc.).
