2. Transposing these European rules into French law

As far as works contracts are concerned, all European directives have been transposed into French law: the legislative and regulatory edifice is relatively complex, the public authorities having proceeded more analytically than synthetically.

2.1 General sector: building and civil engineering works

The Public Procurement Directive has been transposed into French law by various texts.

  • Firstly, in the French Public Procurement Code, the current version of which derives from the decree of 1 er August 2006 (last amended by a decree of September 26, 2014): this covers works contracts awarded by the State, local authorities and public administrative establishments....
