6. Airport environment
In the airport sector, environmental concerns are taken into account as early as the preliminary design phase (APPM) [10].
First of all, noise pollution caused by airport operations is dealt with in a noise nuisance study; as for other environmental issues such as water, air and waste, they are the subject of an initial assessment and an analysis of the impact of the planning project in the APPM environmental study.
This environmental component of the APPM was created by circular 1870 SBA/6 of May 8, 1979. This was in line with the amended law no. 76-629 of July 10, 1976 on nature protection, which introduced impact studies.
