
5. Constructive measures at the foot of composite columns
The subject of composite column foot connections is not covered in EN 1994-1-1, nor in the French National Annex attached to this code. This lack of information may hinder the use of composite columns in steel-concrete frames, the advantages of which have already been demonstrated, particularly for unbraced, flexible frames (see the example in § 3.5.3 ).
