4. Columns and beams

Structural elements such as columns, beams, purlins and roof elements are generally manufactured by placing and curing concrete in long, fixed metal molds. Depending on whether the elements are made of reinforced or prestressed concrete, the molds are placed on short lines (8 to 20 m for reinforced concrete) or long lines (40 to 120 m for prestressed concrete).
