5.1 Building sector
The building industry perfectly reflects the above-mentioned heterogeneity insofar as, as far as in-situ application is concerned, concretes generally have the reputation of being of lower quality (in terms of mechanical performance, durability and rheology) and workers are considered less competent than in the public works sector, whereas as far as prefabrication is concerned, which is more widely used in building than in public works, the quality control usually in place leads to very suitable concretes.
