4.1 Checking the mechanical properties of hardened concrete
Verification of hardened concrete is normally carried out by checking the mechanical properties when the concrete reaches 28 days of age. In certain special cases and construction events (decoating, prestressing, etc.), this age can be modified.
Depending on the type of site, several types of mechanical characteristics conformity checks can be envisaged.
For standard projects not covered by public procurement contracts, conformity control of Bétons à propriétés spécifiées (BPS) is the responsibility of the producer as part of his internal control.
