7. Service limit states

7.1 Deformations

In general, the criteria for the maximum deformations not to be exceeded are provided by the specifications of the client, as they are closely related to the intended use of the building. However, in the absence of criteria specified by the project, the limit values recommended by EC 3-DAN and given below can be used.

The deflections evaluated here are deflections induced by static loads. They are obtained either from forms for simple cases or as the result of a global computer analysis.
