This article illustrates the value of the performance and predictive approach described, based on the notion of sustainability indicators. This approach is based on the concept of sustainability indicators, and can be broken down into a single general methodology, structured into different stages or modules (processes). This innovative approach has the merit of clarifying and introducing greater scientific rigor into the assessment of the durability of reinforced concrete structures, while remaining highly flexible (adaptable). It proposes reliable and objective performance criteria for controlling the durability of reinforced concrete and its components. This new approach to durability has also been validated by the entire scientific and professional community. At the very least, it should help to standardize operational practices.
