7. Conclusion

The panel of sustainability indicators selected, together with the test methods required to determine these indicators in the laboratory under well-defined conditions, form the basic element of the "toolbox" for engineers and designers.

The article will illustrate the different levels of use of these indicators, for the evaluation (qualitative or quantitative) and prediction of the durability of (reinforced) concrete structures.
