1. Traditional installation

It's called this because the connection to the main structure consists of single-storey joints, i.e., joints that are both airtight and watertight.

However, the exception to this rule is when, as is most often the case, the supporting structure is fitted with water-stop devices protecting the airtight barrier.

Implementation has two main functions:

  • air and water tightness;

  • stress absorption (wind load and mechanical stress).

They are clearly differentiated in terms of implementation.
