2.1 General
Before describing the principle behind these windows, we'd like to remind you of the variants covered by the term "window":
window or exterior joinery installed on the spandrel of the shell ;
A French window that allows passage like a door (the English terminology is "French doors");
fixed frames (i.e. without sash) ;
facade panel, i.e. a joinery assembly between slabs (of the shell), with transparent but also opaque infills; more often than not, they are required to provide a safety...
