3. Pre-application checks

3.1 Substrates and their preparation

Brackets may be either the reference brackets of the "SNJF Label" certificate (see [C 3 660] , § 1.3), or brackets authorized by the supplier (refer to product data sheets).

In all cases, the supports will be :

  • clean ;

  • dry ;

  • sound (non-powdery) and solid ;

  • degreased.

Caution: surface treatments can modify the adhesion of mastics: additives, levelling compounds, paints, lacquers, coatings, etc.
