2.1 Emptying: best practices
Oil changes must be carried out by an approved professional. We'll explain this approval mechanism in more detail later.
It is essential to check the thickness of the deposits at the bottom of the pit on a regular basis. If these deposits represent around two-thirds of the total depth between the liquid level and the invert (bottom), the pit needs to be emptied as soon as possible.
It's essential to keep a close eye on the height of this deposit, as an all-water tank can continue to operate even when it's almost full. The liquid will find its way through the deposit rather than remain in the tank, resulting in the absence of pre-treatment....
