4. Installation methods
When it comes to building works – and flooring is undoubtedly a building work – there are two distinct areas. One is called "traditional" and the other "non-traditional".
The first of these fields covers construction work, products and processes whose ability to comply with the technical provisions of the DTUs is recognized by experience. In the case of floor coverings, the implementation of works in this field is covered by approved standards: the NF-DTU. The products used are certified NF-UPEC (see § 2.1.2
