4. Installations. General rules

Before installing a small individual pump unit, you need to make sure that the water available is fit for consumption and plentiful enough to meet your needs.

As soon as you receive the equipment, check that the pump turns freely by hand, as a fairly long time may have elapsed between testing and delivery, and a slight gumming may sometimes occur. If this is the case, fill the pump with very hot water while trying to turn the coupling sleeve. The expansion of the metal is usually sufficient to remove the gumming. Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the connection of the terminal strips in the motor terminal box, and that the conductor cross-section is sufficient (§ ...
