4. Product standard NF EN 13830

All the requirements can be found in the standard. The purpose of this document is to provide an overview of the standard, but it does not replace the need to read the exact and complete text.

4.1 Field of application

Standard NF EN 13830 applies to curtain walls with an inclination of 15° to the vertical.

  • Above 15°, you'll have a glass roof (Atex), which means you'll have to apply the rules for glass roofs (there's no professional text or DTU to date). Be careful, as soon as the façade is inclined, you need to use suitable cross-members to allow water infiltration to drain away.
