1. River and sea navigation

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has estimated that, in 2020, shipping generated around 2.89% of the world's total greenhouse gas emissions. At European level, these emissions correspond to 13.5% of transport sector emissions. This sector, which has set itself the target of reducing its emissions by 50% by 2050 compared with estimated 2008 levels, has clearly identified hydrogen as one of the most interesting solutions. To date, applications have focused on small fleets of pleasure craft or ferries for short crossings.
