AC/DC (Alternative Current/Direct Current)

AC electricity: alternating current and DC electricity: direct current.

AEMFC (Anion Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell)

Anion exchange membrane fuel cell. This is a fuel cell architecture that uses an anion exchange membrane to separate the anode and cathode compartments. These cells use diffusion of basic anions, usually OH hydroxide - , between the electrodes.

AFC (Alkaline Fuel Cell)

The alkaline fuel cell is one of the most highly developed fuel cell technologies. AFCs consume hydrogen and pure oxygen to produce drinking water, heat and electricity. They are among the most efficient fuel cells, potentially achieving up to 70% efficiency.
